Rizoma Travel is a travel agency dedicated to developing ecotourism activities in Colombia, working closely with guides, agencies, and local communities. We are aware of the importance of promoting sustainable tourism and have adopted the principles, terms, and conditions established by current legal regulations. We are committed to managing our activities, products, and services sustainably by implementing sustainability management programs that optimize our growth and improve our interaction with the environment.

Sustainability Commitments

At Rizoma Travel, we are committed to:

  1. Legal Compliance: Adhere to all applicable legal requirements that regulate the effects generated by tourism activities.

  2. Training and Awareness: Motivate and train our staff, local partners, and clients on the principles of sustainable tourism, promoting good environmental practices.

  3. Participation in Sustainability Activities: Participate in external activities related to sustainability and keep all stakeholders informed about the company's environmental management progress.

  4. Rational Use of Natural Resources: Encourage the rational use of natural resources, prioritizing those of vital importance to human beings.

  5. Commitment Against ESCNNA: Offer our products and services in opposition to the Sexual and Commercial Exploitation of Children and Adolescents (ESCNNA) and disseminate this information through digital and social media.

Objectives for Continuous Improvement

One of our main goals is to enhance sustainable management, committing to continuous improvement in all areas of sustainability: socio-cultural, economic, and environmental, while meeting the needs and expectations of stakeholders. All projects or activities will be subject to sustainability criteria and resource efficiency, showing empathy towards the environment.

Rizoma Travel Staff:

  • Familiarize themselves with the Sustainability Management System information.

  • Understand the legal requirements applicable to the agency's processes.

  • Actively participate in the Sustainability Management System.

  • Report cases that harm the environment or involve ESCNNA (Sexual and Commercial Exploitation of Children and Adolescents).

Suppliers:

  • Understand the agency’s sustainability management programs.

  • Know the legal requirements applicable to the agency’s processes.

  • Disseminate information about sustainability processes and legal requirements.

  • Avoid promoting activities of sexual and commercial exploitation of children and adolescents.

  • Avoid the exploitation of plant material and wildlife.

Clients:

  • Understand the agency’s sustainability management programs.

  • Be aware of the legal requirements applicable to the agency’s processes.

  • Comply with legal requirements to prevent the sexual and commercial exploitation of children and adolescents.

  • Properly separate waste.

  • Respect the policies of the offered locations.

Dissemination

The sustainability policy established by Rizoma Travel will be available for public consultation on our website for all interested parties.
